Suspended in the world of "Steampunk" subculture, this crowd pleasing comedy features the universal themes of love, honor and betrayal. Our family-friendly, 90-minute version is a great introduction to Shakespeare as well as a new take on a classic comedy.

Patrons are encouraged to bring picnics, blankets and/or chairs to this free, outdoor production.

A Brief History:

GroundUp Theatre was founded in 1999 by Sabrina Lloyd and Molly J. Neylan as a home base for its members to reinvent as they grew and developed within the community. GroundUp sprang into being with the intention to embrace theatre as a Whole Art, where design and performance are challenged to understand each other and stretch beyond conventions. As we grew, we heard a recurring theme, there are so many talented women, and so little opportunities. As a women driven theatre company, we felt our mission had found it's focus:

GroundUp Theatre is an ensemble of artisits committed to producing strong theatrical pieces which create a new voice and position for women in the theatre and embrace theatre as a whole art. GroundUp is dedicated to producing a theatre in which artists with mulitple disciplines work together to engender a unique, living art form, which explores the human condition with both courage and empathy.
